History of the College: Domar Government College is an educational institution located in Domar upazila of Nilphamari district. The educational institution was established in 1969 with the dedicated efforts and donations of eminent personalities of the area. Founded on 10 acres of land, the college has ample space, ponds, roads, mosques and playgrounds. A small River flowing beside. There are lots of trees on the college campus. The college was nationalized in 1987.
Although the college started its journey by teaching in higher secondary classes, it started teaching in 1979 at the undergraduate (pass) level. In the academic year 2013-2014, honors course in political science was introduced in the college. The college has a three-storey building with four science labs. There are two tinsed buildings. In addition, a six-storey academic building with all modern facilities including computer lab is being constructed in the college as part of the plan adopted by Honourable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, daughter of Bangabandhu, the father of the Bengali nation, to implement the goal of sustainable development. If the project is implemented, the institution will become the best educational institution in the area. Students will be educated in modern education from here and will spread abroad in search of work; Area development will happen.
